UPDATED FORECAST NOV 1
Screen shot from the Pacific this morning shows a classic El NiƱo set up in the ocean. Four systems spread out all the way back to Japan. The first is exiting CA this am headed into the inter mountain west, next storm is in the cue that will come in for Tuesday and the storms behind that may lead to much heavier rain starting on or about Nov 9th. Will be interesting to compare this image to something in Dec or Jan when Pacific storms will be lined up in a conga line across the basin. We do have swell inbound tonight from that 2nd storm in the shot, Papa Buoy showing 8.5@21 seconds as early forerunners are hitting. Nothing on the outer buoys yet, but that will change late today. We still have a fun size southwest swell today, 2.5ft@17 seconds from 190. Northwest swell will fill in and be quite solid for Monday through Thursday - 9-10@15 seconds. Banging. Winds look good for the next few days, picking up a bit mid week. Cya in the water.
